Le Domaine de Rochemontès in Seilh, France
Apéritif, dinner, and dancing to follow
The wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 6pm on Thursday, August 15.
Shuttles will be dispatched from the Residence Inn by Marriott Hotel in Blagnac starting at 5pm. Please be sure to arrive at the wedding venue by 5:45pm at the latest.
We will have a shuttle service transporting guests to and from the wedding venue from the Residence Inn by Marriott Toulouse-Blagnac. This is the hotel where we recommend our guests stay (more information in the section below).
If you'll be driving to the venue, there is a parking lot onsite where you can park free of charge.
Our wedding ceremony will be taking place in the garden of our venue, so the general theme we suggest is light, fluid, and colorful. For men, crisp button-ups with neutral-colored suits or slacks (navy blue, beige, light gray, etc). For the ladies, pastel or floral dresses with heels, wedges or sandals.
We'd recommend booking your flights to Europe as soon as you can as ticket prices will tend to increase the closer we get to August 2024.
If you plan to arrive in Toulouse as your first stop in France, you'll want to arrive to Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS).
If you're planning on doing some traveling in France or Europe beforehand, you can really arrive anywhere and then find a train or another quick flight to Toulouse.
If you arrive to Toulouse via train, the train station is called Toulouse-Matabiau.
We have a standing arrangement with the Residence Inn by Marriott Toulouse-Blagnac for our wedding guests.
We highly recommend that our guests consider staying here due to the proximity to the airport and to the tram that takes passengers right into downtown Toulouse.
It's also where we will be arranging for shuttles to transport our guests to and from the wedding venue!
The price for our wedding guests for a standard room will be 120€/night, and for a suite it will 160€/night - with breakfast included for both options.
(The regular average nightly price for a standard room is around 250€)
To book a room at the Residence Inn, please send an email to Nicolas at nicolas.gay@ri-toulouse.com with the subject line "Wedding Arthur & Alex".
Please include your room preference and the number of nights of your stay, and he'll get you set up.
We highly recommend staying at the Residence Inn (mentioned above), but if you'd like to look at ideas for where to stay, there are certainly options in the area.
If you prefer a more local, "home" feeling, there are plenty of AirBnbs. We live in a village called Grenade if you wish to book in or around this area and enjoy our award-winning local Saturday market (voted in the top-5 markets in all of France this year!).
There are also plenty of options in downtown Toulouse if you prefer to get to know the city we've called home for the past eight years 🩷
With the tram from the airport and into downtown Toulouse (as well as Uber and regular taxis), there's no huge necessity for you to rent a car. We will also have a shuttle service to and from the wedding and reception.
If, however, you'd like the freedom to explore the area, a car will definitely be key. There are plenty of rental car services available from the Toulouse-Blagnac Airport.
(And not to worry - we drive on the right side of the road here in France!)
Aside from being a very walkable city, Toulouse has a great metro, tram, and bus system.
If you'll be staying at the Marriott Residence Inn (recommended above), it's a quick 7-minute walk to the nearest tram stop, which will take you right into the city in about 40 minutes.

Taste of Toulouse Market Food Tour
A friend of ours leads award-winning tours of one of the most well-known markets in Toulouse, the Victor Hugo Market. Full of tasty treats and cool bits of information, and a great way to experience Toulouse and its market fares. Highly recommend!
Enjoy the summer vibes at a guinguette
The French guinguette is basically a pop-up bar that comes around only in the summertime. An experience that is not to be missed. Our fave is La Pétanque des Copains near Jardin des Plantes. Alex recommends the Lillet Tonic (with either white wine or rosé)!
Toulouse Summer Open-Air Cinema
A favorite summer tradition of ours is to catch a film at the open-air cinema right in the heart of downtown. The film schedule is released closer to the summer months, so be sure to check the website for that. (Make sure the showing is VO - version originale.)
Visit the incredible town hall building right in Toulouse's central square: Place du Capitole. We won't blame you for posting up at one of the restaurant terraces just across from it to enjoy a bottle of rosé (or deux).
A museum near and dear to Arthur's heart as it houses a lot of the aerospace history of France and Toulouse. Features include getting to visit the inside of a Concorde jet, an enormous Airbus A380, and more.
Toulouse has so much to offer (that's why we ended up staying)! Be sure to check out the Office of Tourism's website above to explore anything else that might interest you. We can't wait to hear about your adventures!
